The Bearnock Country Centre is a short 20-minute drive from the vibrant City of Inverness, capital of the Highlands, with its red sandstone castle, the newly refurbished Eden Court Theatre and the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery. The lively city also boasts an excellent range of shops and restaurants, and is situated close to historic Culloden Battlefield and its groundbreaking new Visitor Centre.

Meanwhile, the beautiful Highland glen where the log cabins reside is home to the challenging Balnain Bike Park (mountain bikes available to hire from the Centre) and the enchanting Glen Urquhart Forest, featuring waymarked walking and cycle routes.

Places of interest in the surrounding area include magical Loch Ness, romantic Urquhart Castle, the village of Drumnadrochit, the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, the Corrimony Chambered Cairn, Dog Falls and Plodda Falls.

In addition to sightseeing, walking and cycling, visitors to the area can also enjoy boat trips, fishing, pony trekking and golfing as well as skiing and hiking at Aonach Mhor near Fort William or in the Cairngorms near Aviemore.

Bearnock Country Centre is also on the road to the Isle of Skye, home to the famous Cuillins mountain range and Shirley Spear’s Three Chimneys restaurant.

The Bearnock Country Tea Room here at the Centre is a light and airy venue serving fresh food all day. From a hearty breakfast to morning coffee and cakes, tasty lunchtime dishes to afternoon tea and delicious suppers, the café is open from 8am-8pm in high season.
